Purchased the booster pump to increase city water pressure which was currently at 40psi at the meter. After installing, pressure increased to 85psi. Highly recommend this pump for anyone who has low water pressure going into the home.

Only had it running for two weeks but it seems great so far. No leaks. It boosts our city water pressure from 40psi to 80psi. It is quiet. I had a Grundfos Scala II and it started leaking after a year and could not be fixed. I hope this one lasts a whole lot longer than that! The increase in pressure make the lawn sprinklers work like they are supposed to and it's nice when taking a shower.

Pump works great, and the folks at waterpumps direct were very helpful at getting my configuration set up. The pump is a little noisy, but well worth the pressure increase. I did put a pressure regulator on the discharge side.

Easy install with my existing well system. Max working pressure is 80psi. Since this pump boosts to 40 PSI over input pressure input pressure had to be reduced by using a 30/50 PSI pressure switch. 1 month no issues and outstanding water pressure in 3 story farm house. Just waiting to see if there is any noticeable increase on the power bill.

Based on what you described, you may want to check your plumbing system for a leak. Due to the functionality of the controller (pressure switch), a leak will cause issues for this pump/controller. For warranty support, Simer can be reached directly @ (800) 468-7867

I've had my Simer 4075SS for a few weeks now. It was a replacement for my Simer that lasted about 12 years...so no complaints at all. The hook up was pretty simple since the basic pipes were already in place. The results have been very good. The 4075SS can support our household needs along with our 11 zone sprinkler system. I would absolutely recommend this unit along with going through Water Pumps Direct. The process was simple and without issue.

How To Replace Your Leaking Grundfos

While the fittings are the same, the outlet of the pump is facing upward. If you used flexible connections it will not be a problem. Both solutions for increased water pressure is expensive, to avoid twice the cost choose the Simmer over Grunfdos.
