Terrible Pump Did Not Last- 2 Pumps Out Of 4 Cracked Bolt

This pump has cracked in half where it is bolted together- will not hold the pressure- not worth the money- bought 4 and 2 of them are cracked after usage.

Very sorry you experienced problems with these pumps. Red Lion provides a 2-Year Warranty on these pumps. Based on what you described is wrong with the pump, which is not very common with these types of pumps, I would suggest contacting Red Lion directly @ (888) 956-0000 for troubleshooting.

A Great Pump For An Under Ground Sprinkler System

This pump is quiet and can push a large volume of water. I have 3 different zones set up on my under ground system. When testing the pump I opened 2 zones at the same time and the pump kept up.

Go far so good. Quite, easy to wire. Comes for factory 220 ready. Had to fill 3 times before it primed. After that, smooth sailing. At moment I'm pushing 7 heads 450ft from water. Have not ran a lot due to lots of rain. Can't wait for the sunshine

After looking at pumps at a couple box stores I found this one online. The pump was shipped properly, installed easily and works as promised. This is for a rental property and it works as well as the more expensive Gould I have at my house.

The first pump would not prime. I spoke with an engineer at the manufacturer who had me go through some tests. It was determined that the pump was faulty. Water Pumps Direct was great with replacing the pump after the engineers recommendation. The second pump works like a charm.

This is a strong cast iron pump that does a great job watering, but it does NOT self prime quickly as advertised. I followed the directions exactly and the pump does not self prime quickly. I had to prime the pump four times.

If you're having trouble priming the pump, it is suggested in the manual to use a foot and/or check valve. Some other issues that may cause priming issues are leaks in the suction line, excessive lift on the suction side or your water level drops while pump, which will cause air in the suction pipe. For advanced troubleshoot, Red Lion can be reached directly @ (888) 956-0000. They should be able to determine if the pump or the application is the cause of the priming problem.
