It arrived very well packaged. The pump is compact, but powerful. The stainless pump housing will be more robust than the plastic housing of my previous pump. When using the pump (gravity fed from an uphill, 1600 gal reservoir), it makes quite a loud noise for the first several seconds of starting, but as the pressure builds, the “rushing” noise tapers off. Not sure what is going on there, but it doesn’t seem to be any kind of mechanical problem.

I was surprised when it arrived at it's compact size and light weight. I'm using this pump to supply water from our cistern to our home. It's replacing an older FloTec 1/2 hp. I ran a new 230 volt circuit for the pump. The pump was an easy install and I'm impressed with performance of this pump. It is quick to recover as our old FloTec would require a much longer time to fill the pressure tank. I'm pleased with it's performance and only time will determine if it's quality and performance live up to it's reputation. I was also pleased with the tech support responses in answering my questions before I purchased this pump.

Good pump for the price, but as is always the case: "Time will tell". If it lasts for several years (5+) without problem, then EXCELLENT! Tech support (Franklin out of IL) to help on the install was good also. The pump fills my seven-gallon reserve tank in half the time over my old pump.

lot Smaller and lighter, seems cheap compared to the 1hp one I bought. have not connected it yet. Was going to replace the cheap-"O" one from a Big Box store and keep it for a back-up but the quality is no better. So I'll use this one for back-up.

Great pump, however, if you are using it as a water pump on a boat system like I have it set-up, you will need a plug to go into the pump housing. That plug is a straight thread plug, not tapered and is hard to find. if you put a tapered plug in it, the pump will leak. However, besides that, the pump is great, and meets all of my demands. Thank you.
