Great Pump!

Bought the same pump last year, but lost due to flooding. The new is pump is quiet compared to the last one. Pulling water 13 ft vertical and river is 100 ft from from pump. Did not install pressure gauge, but I am able to run 2 stations ( 12-14 rotors ) with each head spaying 35-40 ft! Hope I don't need another, but I would buy again!!

Pump Worked Fine--Motor Not So Fine !!!
By James M.

I used this pump for one summer. It failed to start this summer so I phoned a repair company. The motor failed and would require shipping out of state to get it fixed. Im out the $$$$ , not to mention the labor. NO---O would not recommend this product to anyone. Your info. says it will last for "years", non-since.

Best Pump Yet!
By Douglas T.
Granbury, Texas
Purchased 07/03/2019 |
Review Posted 08/23/2019
My water source is only 1.5 feet deep and pump is right at 20 ft above the water line. With other 3hp pumps I could only run one station at a time. With this one I have run 3 at one time with good pressure and volume. The main from the pump runs about 200 yards and climbs another 50 ft. I have 4 stations at highest point with excellent coverage and pressure. I will buy this pump again when it gets flooded...hopefully in the distant future. I did remove the flapper check valve on the pump after numerous attempts to prime the pump. After removing, system has maintained its prime and is working better than expected.

Pumping the Water My Trees Need
By James M.
Cayucos, California
Purchased 04/06/2019 |
Review Posted 06/11/2019
I am a farmer and grow Oranges and Avocados. We are using this unit to booster the pressure out into an aging irrigation system. I installed the plumbing for the pump and my son ran the electrical. The setup was no problem. My orchard is very very satisfied with an improved water flow!!! As my trees age, I am injecting Gypsum and fertilizers into the irrigation system. The Red Lion booster pump sure helps improve the flow of these materials. Very satisfied with Red Lion!!!!!

Thank you for providing feedback about your pump. Please keep in mind that this pump is designed for pumping clear water. Pumping water with gypsum and fertilizers can reduce the lifespan of the pump and may void the warranty.

There Are No Instructions To Install This Item

I would expect a set of instructions to wire this motor & pump. I buy about 8 to 12 pumps a month, first time I tried this company. To bad the lost the chance to continue business with my company.

Received pump and could not get primed. Tried replacing foot valve, and entire pickup line . Nothing would work after pre priming a about 30 times over three days finally called local expert, who spent 2 hours doing a lot of what I had already tried, eventually he separated pump from motor and kicked on power momentarily, only to see that pump and motor were not matched from factory(running in reverse) 500$ later working pump. P.s. First Called technical support (they suck)

Always remember to refer to the manual during installation.
"To Check for Proper Rotation:Remove the motor end cover. This exposes the motor shaft. If hookup is correct, the shaft will rotate clockwise. If rotation is not clockwise, reverse any two leads to
the starter. The rotation will now be correct."
