Still Working After 18 Years Of Use

Just now writing this review since I've purchased a second CU301 Controller - not as a replacement, but for my next house to build. My current CU301 was installed in 2002 and is still working properly in mid 2020.
I did have a transducer issue that was indicated as a blinking fault code by the CU301, again, easily diagnosed by the red led indicator on the circuit board. Grundfos has several YouTube vids to assist if needed.
Proper installation and grounding of your pump and controller is key to longevity. Don't let a lightning strike take you out - ground everything according to the NEC / Local Codes.

This product was just what I needed. My old controller was having error issues and was not turning on my pump. I was hesitant in spending the $$$ to replace the old one BUT was the correct decision in the end.
It was very simple to install as all that I needed to do was dewire the original one and rewire the new the same way as the old one was.

My old unit is about 10 yrs old. It has been shutting down (red error light comes on) for about 6 months. I was turning off breaker at house main electric box, to reset. Later just turned off at unit. Last couple weeks (Dec.) I've let it go when it shuts off and it resets on its own. ??? Will replace with new unit when it fails totally...

Since this kit works together with the SQE well pump, you may want to make sure it's not the pump that's causing the error light. For troubleshooting, Grundfos can be reached directly @ 913-227-3400

Serves Purpose But None Of The Features Work

I had this professionally installed 2 month's ago. It serves its purpose as a constant flow controller but none of the features work. I have to reset it once a week. Too much money for what it offers. Extremely Disappointed in this product.

Very sorry you're having problems with your system. Based on your order history, you only purchased the constant pressure kit and the pressure tank. We have no record of your purchase of a Grundfos SQE-Series Deep Well Pump, which is the only pump that this systems is compatible with. If you're not using this specific well pump, the constant pressure system will not work correctly. To fully diagnose the problems, please give us a call @ 1 (888) 455-4681

Hi. We have read your feedback and are sorry about your less-than-satisfactory experience with the previous version of the Grundfos SCALA2. It did not live up to its full potential at the start.
We continually strive to provide the best products and services, which requires close monitoring of potential issues and timely updates. Feedback like yours helps us identify and make appropriate corrections to ensure the SCALA2 provides our customers with perfect water pressure as intended.
As a result, we have made changes to meet our standards and your expectations. We have optimized production methods, restructured various components, and issued multiple updates to solve critical issues. Key elements of the SCALA2 pump — the connection part, the center part, and the shaft seal — have been redesigned, resulting in a significant decrease in warranty claims and negative customer experience.
We recognize you have experienced an unacceptably high level of returns of SCALA2 pumps manufactured before 2019. To assist you further, please send me an email at DBSAmericas@Grundfos.com with your contact details, including location, email, phone, and the dealer you purchased the product from, if relevant. I would like to personally work with you to ensure your current pump is performing to our shared expectations. Thanks!
