This is my second pump. First one lasted forever and used it frequently. I was very happy to see they still made the same pump as I didn't really need a more high powered more expensive pump for what I use it for. Very reliable and get the job done for me.

I have seen these pumps work great however In my experience on buying this pump and thinking it was going to be great and last me awhile it was not.The first time I used it the pump worked for 5 minutes and then just shut off and when I had used it for the first time it was already past the 30 day period so I was out of almost $100 just make sure it works and doesn’t shut off on you when I get it that’s all I can say thanks.

This was a replacement of the same pump, which I had for 20-30 yrs! Pumping out my sink in the basement and used several times to pump out my 10,000 gallon pool each year! Had to replace it finally, not because of its pumping ability but because of a wire break in the cap.

This Flotec pumps down to about 1/4 inch. The power cord finally gave out after 8 years of heavy use. If I'd replaced the upper housing screws with stainless hardware, I could have repaired it. Instead, I bought two new ones. Absolutely indispensable item.
